About standard audiences

Target your advertising activity at specific audiences to increase its effectiveness. You can choose from standard audiences, curated and provided by Roku, and your own custom audiences, which you create. If you want to create your own custom audiences instead of using standard audiences, see About custom audiences.

In order to use your standard audiences when creating an ad group, you first need to get the list of standard audiences that your account has access to. This list includes the same standard audiences that all accounts get access to, plus any other audiences that have been specifically shared with your account by Roku.

Get a list of standard audiences:

Make a GET List standard audiences call and include your account_uid, or a comma-separated list of account_uids if you want to get standard audiences for more than one account.

A successful call’s response body includes data like name and audience_category_uid. Some response data that you can disregard are the audience_library_uid field, the audiences_config object, and the account_uid. These items, while exposed to you, aren’t relevant to you viewing or using standard audiences.
